Healthy Capital District serves over 15,000 Capital Region residents annually through health insurance navigation, SDOH screenings, community health advocacy, professional development programming, the Certified Peer Development Program (CPDP), Seal a Smile, and the development of the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for the region’s hospitals and health departments. Healthy Capital District is proud of our work supporting community health workers, certified peers, and community health professionals. We have hosted dozens of workshops and events focused on substance misuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders, with local, nationally and internationally-recognized speakers. We offer foundational training, coaching sessions, monthly mini peer-centric workshops, resource navigation support, and professional development workshops, many of which are eligible for CEs which include, but are not limited to the following professions: SWs, LMHCs, Psychologists, Physical Therapists and Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Assistants, CASACs, CPSs, CRPAs, and CARCs.
